Dites-moi ce que vous en pensez.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dear Paul,<\/p>\n<p>The Institute for New  Economic Thinking announces today that it  will begin accepting proposals to fund innovative and path-breaking research in  economics.\u00a0 Today\u2019s announcement begins  the first round of a biannual process of granting financial support for  research.<\/p>\n<p>INET will look seriously at  proposals across all subject matters.\u00a0 At  this time the Institute will particularly emphasize the following thematic  areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Political Economy: The  State, Economy and their Interaction<\/li>\n<li>Theories of Finance,  Radical Uncertainty, Asset Price Swings and the Interaction between Financial  and Real Economic Systems<\/li>\n<li>New Approaches to  Empirical Macroeconomics<\/li>\n<li>Network and Systems Theory<\/li>\n<li>Economic History<\/li>\n<li>History of Economic  Thought<\/li>\n<li>Human Capital and  Growth<\/li>\n<li>Development and  Economic Inequality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application and  procedural guidelines can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/cts.vresp.com\/c\/?InstituteforNewEcono\/e4791a8ac9\/06e7588787\/4c52a9dd16\">online<\/a> and will be a two-stage process.\u00a0 The  first stage is to submit a proposal not longer than 6 pages by July  31<sup>st<\/sup>. A research jury will review first-stage applications in August  and then invitations will be issued for those original proposals deemed to be  promising to make a more intensive and thorough second stage application by  September 20, 2010. The first set of grants will be awarded by October 15,  2010.<\/p>\n<p>Please forward this  announcement to your colleagues.
