Unheard of, one has to say. Damned markets!<\/p>\n<p>Voting for the Tro\u00efka method &#8211; it was pretty obvious &#8211; was voting to continue the same slow, downward spiral towards Hell, with the members of the Euro zone like a climbing team roped together, whose ropes, one after the other, are working loose.<\/p>\n<p>Voting against would have brought things to a halt, forcing a rethink of the entire problem \u2013 which was exactly what was needed. That wasn\u2019t what happened.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the lead writer of Financial Times Deutschland who called last week for the Greeks to vote for New Democracy, thanks to Fran\u00e7ois Hollande who did the same thing, &#8211; yours sincerely, a grateful Spain.<\/p>\n<p>As one says of Humpty Dumpty, who fell off his wall: \u201cHe was pushed!\u201d Same thing for the Roman Empire: it was pushed.
